HEY VOLUNTEER!!

We are so excited to have the opportunity to serve Jesus with you this year at VBS! During Sherwood Kids VBS we will have four days to show the kids of our community the love of Jesus Christ and form relationships that will impact their families for the Gospel.

Here is a quick overview of what will be happening this year at VBS:

GAMES!! - Each night we will have team games where teams will compete for a chance to win giveaways at the end of the week! Hey Team Leaders, don't be afraid to go all out to get your team involved!
WORSHIP!! - Our worship song the week will be "At the Top of My Lungs" by Orange Kids Music and Chris Cauley! The worship video that features the hand-motions is listed below!
SMALL GROUPS!! - Team Leaders, this is all you!! Small group time each night will be a perfect time for you to connect with your kids and have meaningful conversations about Christ.

Our theme this year is 'PRESS PLAY' - LEARNING TO LIVE IN THE CONFIDENCE JESUS GIVES US

All out 80's...

Our "PRESS PLAY" theme this year focuses on music, so what better genre to pick than all out 80's?!
Neon colors, headbands, cassette tapes, and leg warmers describe this theme PERFECTLY! So don't be afraid to go all out to dress up in your team colors (if you are a team leader) or 80's outfits!

Our worship song this year at VBS is "At the Top of My Lungs" by Orange Kids Music and Chris Cauley!!

Worship will take place during the Large Group session each night (6pm - 7pm). It is important for all leaders to be engaged in worship so make sure to take time to learn the motions (even if you will not be on stage during worship)!

HEY WELCOME TEAM!!! We are so excited to see you guys welcome everyone onto our campus! This is such an important team to serve on as you will be the first people anyone sees when they step onto Sherwood's campus! Here are a few things you will be doing:

manning our Check-in and Check-out stations in the Welcome Center
holding doors, welcome signs, and umbrellas (if necessary)
making every kid feel welcomed and loved as they arrive at VBS
and as always... being the hands and feet of Jesus!!

Hey snack team!! Snacks will forever be an integral part of VBS and we can't wait to see how God works during this time each night! Our team leader, Jeni Pittard, will be leading the way to create some awesome snacks for this week so make sure to keep an eye out for more details to come!

Pray for God to be glorified through everything we do each night during VBS and through the preparation that happens before hand.
Pray that every child who steps through our doors would be impacted by the love of Jesus and the Gospel.
Pray that we will have the opportunity to form lasting relationships not only with the children who attend but also their families.
Pray for our volunteers, that God would open opportunities for meaningful conversations and that God would give them wisdom and patience to intentionally show each child the love of Christ.
